June 2008 - Cruise to Alaska

Our journey began in Seattle where we saw the space needle, downtown, and got to hang out with some friends from Halifax and Dallas. On Sunday we boarded the ship and got settled in. After a full day at sea, we arrived in Ketchikan where we saw The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show and went on a zipline and ropes course. The next day we sailed into the Endicott Fjord where we saw lots of icebergs and a glacier. That afternoon we stopped in Juneau to see the Mendenhall glacier and went gold panning. The next day we were in Skagway where we took a combo tour. We started with breakfast in an old bordello, drove up the Klondike highway to White Pass, and crossed the Yukon suspension bridge. After another full day at sea we arrived in Victoria where we took a double decker bus tour of the city before heading back to Seattle.
